Fishing Shirts
Fishing shirts boast style, but they’re functional, too. Colors arranged symmetrically display a colorful design as well as promote an organization, sponsor logo or tournament level identification. Another example would be the sportswear shirt that boasts fashion and protects the skin from ultraviolet sunrays. Whatever the case, the fishing shirt is sure to fit the occasion.
Because of this versatility, fishing shirts are of a wide variety with endless features, not to mention that they are either pre-made or customizable, meaning not only print-optional, but the design and structure of the entire shirt are made-to-order.
Among the various types of fishing shirts are: T-shirts, made of 100% cotton, that offer content such as Hawaiian subjects, toddler cartoons, adult themes, fishing humor and deep sea fishing T-shirts; gear shirts, which are cool and airy and typically made of Nylon, with wide pocket space for lure storage, a resistant finish and a minimal UV protection of 30 (this is another shirt that serves as both stylish and functional); G. Loomis long-sleeve shirts, 100% cotton, semi-T and semi-sportswear; the Columbia long-sleeve fishing shirt, mechanically stretched to ensure flexibility, vented, moisture and light-resistant, and maintaining a rate of 40 for UDF protection. These offer a different feel and a different look, depending on the situation, environment and personal preference, but they are always comfortable. These are equally and commonly used as deep sea as well as fly fishing shirts.
The one unique species of fishing shirt that stands out on its own is the fishing tournament shirt. These are usually made-to-order and are very well-constructed to maintain a long lifespan. Some are even waterproof fishing shirts, which will keep competitors drying while fishing. Fishing tournament manufacturers—either commercial or private—provide wearers the option to customize, and this is not only in terms of what is presented on the front and/or back. Fishing tournament shirts are designed according to the size and comfort level of the wearer, and that means down to the seam. Fishing tournament T-shirt designs, for example, might be long-sleeved, short-sleeved, boast a sponsor logo, or come in anyone of a half-dozen different colors: black, blue, red, ash, tan, gray, white, or combination. For those intended for the tournament, fishing shirts like Bass fishing tournament shirts or Walleye shirts, structures that feature particular color combinations or logos, square or rounded bottoms, double- or triple-seams, epaulets, button-ups, collarless or lapels . . . The Bass fishing tournament shirt identifies itself with a unique image, logo or pattern from that of the Walleye, simply because the Bass and Walleye are two different tournaments. Fishing tournament shirts are among the highest quality fishing shirts made because of their professional status and recognition.
The fun thing about fishing shirts is that, for the exception of tournaments, when particular logos and colors are to be worn, anything is really acceptable and, perhaps, encouraged for the sake of diversity, as long as the shirt acknowledges fishing in some way, and since the possibilities are endless, the alternatives are endless as well.
